Abstract

Intrauterine devices (IUDs) remain one of the main methods of choice for birth control in the world, especially in developing co-untries. A misplaced intrauterine device can migrate to various po-sitions in the pelvic or intra-abdominal cavity, which may cause a range of different complications and morbidities. Uterine perfora-tion is a rarely observed complication. The bladder is one of the or-gans that an IUD can migrate to because of its close proximity to the uterus. Here, we report 1 case of forgotten IUD migration into the bladder and its endoscopic treatment.

Key Words: IUD, bladder, migration
