Abstract

Double J ureteral stents have been used in urological practice for a long time. Even though use of these stents is practical and safe, undesi-red problems such as stone formation, urinary tract infection, kidney dysfunction may deve-lop in case of their long stay in the body. In this study, we discuss a forgotten double j stent and related proximal migration and hydronephro-sis, in light of the related literature. We think that cases with double j stents should be infor-med and warned strictly to avoid serious prob-lems due to forgot of these stents.

Key Words: Double J stent, hydronephro-sis, ureterorenoscopy
