Abstract

42-year-old male admitted to the emer-gency department with penile swelling and hematoma after a sexual intercourse.

The patient had gone under surgical exp-loration. There was not any problem in the integrity of tunica albugenia. The superficial dorsal vein which was ruptured  was found and ligated. Postoperative sexual function and erection was completely normal.

Rupture of the superficial dorsal vein of the penis occurs rare, but it must be kept in mind in the diagnosis of penile fracture in clinical conditions such as lack  of sudden detumescence, painless penile swelling and hematoma.

Keywords: Penil dorsal vein rupture, pe-nil fracture
